LVLUP WAS BUILT OUT OF NECESSITY FOR THE FUTURE.
WHY LVLUP WAS FOUNDED
LVLUP was founded by former professional skateboarder Trev Ward out of frustration with the broken system in skateboarding. After years at the top, Trev had seen enough of the "bro hook up" culture—where talent was often overlooked for favoritism—and the lack of any clear path to becoming a professional. There were no roadmaps, no standards, and no real guidance for the next generation. Worse, the sport was often surrounded by a destructive stigma of drugs, alcohol, and chaos, leaving many young skaters lost before they had a chance to thrive.
Trev believed skateboarding deserved better. He built LVLUP to professionalize the sport, not sterilize it—preserving the raw counterculture, honesty, and freedom that make skating unique, while creating a safer, smarter, and more structured environment for kids to grow. LVLUP is about mentorship, truth, and leveling up—together.
Through curriculum-based coaching, athlete development pathways, and a global network of mentors, LVLUP is on a mission to lift skateboarding to a new standard. It’s not just a facility—it’s a movement to pass on real knowledge, build real communities, and empower skaters around the world.
